BGC Partners Inc is one of the world’s leading inter-dealer brokering firms. On September 11th 2001, BGC suffered the heaviest loss of life in any single company when the Twin Towers were hit. Since 2005, to commemorate those lost in the World Trade Centre attacks, BGC has been donating its global revenues to charity on September 11th each year.

On Friday 11th September 2009 - BGC’s fifth annual global Charity Day - in excess of $10 million was raised for charity in one day, bringing the total over four years to more than $33 million.
